A to Z Challenge 2015: W - The Walking Dead

Welcome to the final week of the Challenge!

If you've made it this far, congrats! You're practically done.

Originally a comic book series of the same name by Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore, and Charlie Adlard, The Walking Dead is one of AMC's most popular TV productions ever.

After Mad Men, and Breaking Bad, that channel is really on a roll.

So, today's 2015 April A to Z Blogging Challenge story for the letter W:

The Walking Dead

Here's the summary, from IMDB:

Sheriff's Deputy Rick Grimes leads a group of survivors in a world overrun by zombies.

Creator: Frank Darabont
Stars: Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Steven Yuen, Melissa McBride, Lauren Cohan, Danai Gurira

Too many writers and directors to include, I guess.

That's it! Please come back tomorrow.

This is a show I never got into. Probably the zombies--they creep me out.

I had a loving zombie site in the start, when zombies were not cool. As soon the crazy hit, I changed my theme... though I think I am going to go back...

though the walking dead is not about zombies, it's the dead walking and I think there is a difference.

Herd wonderful thing about the show. Love the graphic novel. Plan on watching the show once I get some extra time.

I have yet to watch one full episode. For sure, I plan on binge watching it when my youngest kids are a little older.

Such a dark show, but I love it.

Good luck with the A to Z Challenge!

I'm a season behind on this show. I'll watch it on Netflix and catch up.

Has anyone made an official count of the zombie books on the market?

Not a huge zombie fan, but I've heard really good things about this show!

Of all the supernatural beings, I always thought zombies were my least favorite. They are so slow that I thought, "It doesn't make sense that a person can't outrun them."

But everyone I know loves this show.

So, on Black Friday I bought the first two season. OMG. This show is awesome. Now I wish I had the third season... I probably can wait until next Black Friday, because I have so much on my viewing plate. But, I'll still keep an eye out on Amazon for a sale on Season 3.

The Walking Dead did address that issue... it's when zombies form into packs they become dangerous. One zombie... no problem. A hundred zombies... big problem.

I'm a huge fan. I've seen the first four seasons on Netflix and I've read the first two comics collections (over 40 issues each). Both are amazing. I also read the novels based on the series. They are so-so in comparison.

I love the show, but not the zombies themselves. Too gory for me. But the story line is good... Lisa, co-host AtoZ 2015, @ http://www.lisabuiecollard.com

I know lots of people like this, but since zombies aren't my thing, I haven't ever watched it.

Love that show! I'm behind in my viewing, though, so I'm too scared to read the comments in case they're riddled with spoilers. :)

I have friends that love the show but I have yet to get into it. Maybe I'll do a Netflix marathon one day.
