What's the best new blog you've discovered so far? I hope you have found at least one that you will continue reading after the challenge is over.
Today we have the sixth letter, the letter F. And for my theme, we have another TV Show.
I was very late to the Firefly party! I did not see it until years after it had been aired, and the film was already out. I'm told this makes me very lucky.
Today's 2015 April A to Z Blogging Challenge story for the letter F:
Firefly
A cult classic, a fan favorite, cancelled before it's time, Firefly is one of the best shows with the greatest casts to ever make it to TV. Now having achieved legendary status, many browncoats still wonder what might have been.
Here is the summary from IMDB:
Five hundred years in the future, a renegade crew aboard a small spacecraft tries to survive as they travel the unknown parts of the galaxy and evade warring factions as well as authority agents out to get them.
Creator: Joss Whedon
Stars: Nathan Fillion, Gina Torres, Alan Tudyk
That's it! Please come back tomorrow.

Will have to check this out. Sounds interesting.
Ahhh Firely, such a great show and movie!
LOL,Susan Says featured this sci-fi TV show this morning. Like I told her, I found it on Netflix and have yet to watch it. DH & I in recent months have gotten hooked on several new sci-fi programs much to my surprise, so we'll definitely watch this one to see what we think. Thanks for hosting the A2Z fun!
Loved that show and the movie!
It was THE best show ever! Damn you Fox.
Never watched that show. My only experience with fireflies is a mathematical model we worked with when I was a physics students, a non-linear feed back system which models how fireflies synchronize their blinking. Cool stuff >:)
Cold As Heaven
I must live in a cloud -- never heard of that show. But I probably wouldn't have watched it anyway because for some reason I never seem to be able to follow stories set in the future.

Damn you FOX, indeed... though the cast has moved onto bigger things. Firefly will remain one of my favorites... Welcome in the letter "F"... thank you!

There's no earthly way of knowing.
Which direction we are going!
HOLLYWOOD NUTS!
Come Visit: You know you want to know if me or Hollywood... is Nuts?
It didn;t take long to find a Firefly post. Ten minutes or so. I really thought someone else would pick up the show.
Amazing show. All the episodes were shown recently, so I have them all recorded - our dilemma is do we watch them in the intended order, or the screwed up network order?

I only know about Firefly because I watch The Big Bang Theory, which occasionally references the series. As to favorite blogs, it's hard to say. I'm finding a lot of excellent content...I had no idea it would be this much fun to visit so many blogs in a day, but I'm having a blast.
BEST. SHOW. EVER. Still kills me that it was cancelled before it's time.
Good luck with the 2015 A to Z Challenge!

Well I know I am in the minority here but I HATED, HATED Firefly and Serenity.
Sorry. I just couldn't watch it and I love sci-fi.

I think it might be cheating that you already figured out how to cover the letter "Q" with your blog title . ..
Your synopsis of shows is great - now I don't have to watch and it frees up my time to do, ahem, meaningful things, ahem . . .
This was a great show. The fact that the movie (Serenity) was the resounding success it was at the box office speaks volumes about the mistake Fox made cancelling this one.
I just heard (don't know if it's true) that ABC is cancelling Castle. If so, another (good) one bites the dust.
Hi MacNish! Nice to be back visiting some of the "old haunts" of mine...
Loads of film features. Unfortunately I never saw this one...enjoy the rest of the A To Z Blog Challenge.
Never even heard of this.
Getting a crash course in the arts from the QQQE this month!
Me too. I didn't catch all the episodes until I decided that I wanted to see the movie.
I never watched it, but love anything Josh Whedon took part in, so I will search for it on Netflix and probably end up binge watching. I haven't been able to visit as many blogs as I would have liked to (issue with my daughter's passport), but will make up for it this week. 500 will be tough to match.
I've visited and discovered some great blogs. Many I already read, but some are new to me.

That's my list, or at least the ones that popped into my head.
I double Alex's words. Fox had a gem and they didn't realize it.
I don't know Firefly, but I'm a fan of Nathan Fillion so might be tempted. I see you collect vinyl, Matthew. my dh has a large collection, too, i used to think I'd need a hard hat to enter one or two of our rooms for a while. He enjoys playing them, though. Haven't visited anything like 500 blogs but have found a few great sites. anne stenhouse
I always seem to miss the good stuff!
I KNEW you would have Firefly today. It is legendary. I like how the Science Channel does Firefly marathons once in a while like it could really happen someday.
I just watched it, again, a few weeks ago! I loved Firefly and Serenity, the movie. Died before its time. IMO, Joss Wheden ROCKS and I'll see anything he makes, even if I didn't finish "Doll House."(Second season bought it, like, died. IMO.) Lisa, co-host AtoZ 2015, @ http://www.lisabuiecollard.com
To soon. Tooo... soon...
Have you seen the IndieGoGo campaign for Con Man? :) Worth checking out.
Firefly forever! :)

This is the second Firefly post I've read today. It must be a show worth noting. I get all my shows on Netflix, so I'll look it up. Thanks.
I don't think I've ever seen the TV show, but I did see a film that I think was based on the show. Was it called Serendipity? That film was kind of good I think but I guess I need to watch it again.

I was upset that we never learned Book's history. As an aside, three Firefly cast members are going to be at Megacon this weekend. I'm not going, but my son is. I hope he stands in line to get a picture with Wash, he's my all time favorite character.
Never heard of it...until now. But then we don't have television stations.
One of the greatest Sci-fi shows ever created. Though, I am both a hard-core Whedonist and die-hard Nathan Fillion fan so I'm a bit biased.
I too came in late on the Firefly bandwagon, but I'm glad I finally watched it a couple years ago. Awesome show!
I've never seen Firefly. I may have to check it out.
Scribbles From Jenn - Visiting from the A to Z Challenge
I love Firefly and have watched the series half a dozen or so times. OK, maybe more. I remember catching an episode when it aired, but I thought the theme music was terrible (still do) and it turned me off from watching. :headdesk:
