A to Z Challenge 2015: J - Jaws

Happy Saturday everyone!

Enjoy your day off tomorrow.

I think I have visited 750 blogs at this point. How many have you made it to? Is anyone feeling burnt out yet? Try not to get discouraged. Write your posts as far ahead of time as you can, so you'll leave more time for visiting and reading.

Today we have the letter J. And for my theme, yet another movie.

One of the greatest films from Hollywood's classic era, this is probably the film that made Steven Spielberg a household name. It was certainly his first breakout success.

Today's 2015 April A to Z Blogging Challenge story for the letter H:

Jaws

It's been a while, but I have seen this movie many times, and it is a clinic in suspense.

Here is the summary from IMDB:

When a gigantic great white shark begins to menace the small island community of Amity, a police chief, a marine scientist and grizzled fisherman set out to stop it.

Director: Steven Spielberg
Writers: Peter Benchley, Carl Gottlieb
Stars: Roy Scheider, Robert Shaw, Richard Dreyfuss

That's it! Please come back tomorrow.

Excellent choice. Almost picked that one but went with something different.
I'm visiting 100-150 blogs every day, but mostly the same ones, especially since I'm trying to return all comments.

Yikes I have visited about 40+, regulars and host on a daily thing...

Jaws was the first horror film, I had seen... when the head popped out of the boat I flew under the seat.

As much as I hate to admit it, the movie is good, but I disliked it. Which is odd for me because I've been watching horror films since I was ten.

I'm not sure how many blogs I visit. It's weird right now since I'm traveling, but I'm managing to fit it in. If anyone is posting their link on Facebook, that's really helpful...makes it easy for me to hop over to your blog and say hello!

This was a favourite of mine because it was also part of Universal Studio's theme park. I remember the shark suddenly coming out of the water right next to our group's trolley - so scary. I laughed so hard, in fear. hahaha

Happy Saturday - enjoy a day off tomorrow!

I have lost counting, but visited lots, and enjoying the feeling of connecting with amazing fellow bloggers all around the world. Fun to be reminded of the Jaws - gave me sleepless nights - many many years ago... (could I maybe suggest you remove the captcha... its a time-thief..)

The teenage boy from the film works at a Heat Treat facility now. I beleve he likes to study rocks.
I work at home now and am not sure if he is still there.
But we work in metal so my husband has spoken with him several times.

Loved the film and its music.

Still too much of a weenie to watch it. And forget about going into the ocean. Traumatized for life!

I was in college when Jaws hit the theaters. I saw the movie on a weekend, and then on Monday when I attended a geology class, the professor passed around a tray of petrified shark's teeth. With that movie still fresh on my mind, it freaked me out.

I have some other things to say about Jaws, but I will save those for my posts for the letter M, and for U. hehe

I saw Jaws at the theatre when I was six. And every night after that I was convinced it was possible and not entirely unlogical that there could be a shark under my bed.

Not a movie I've ever felt a need to see. But the theme music is very useful!

I remember how scared I was when Jaws first came out. Now whenever I think of Jaws, it reminds me of the Landshark sketch on SNL!

This is one of my favourite movies and a great example of a movie being better than the book (in my opinion)
