A Fun Experiment for Friday - Updated

I thought we would do something fun today. This is one shelf on my bookshelf in my bedroom at home. I have another much larger bookshelf, that is in my daughter's room, where the majority of our books our stored, but this shelf is mine alone, and contains some of my coolest books.

I've blurred the author and the title on some of these books that you guys might recognize. I want to see how many of you can guess at least one of these books, from the look of the spine alone. If you know me, you can probably guess half of them.

I'll put the original photo up this afternoon.

In somewhat sadder (but also hopeful) news, several of my blogging friends are posting about bullying today. Please read their posts:

Candyland
Talli Roland
LM Preston
Donna Martin
Sheri Larsen
Jonathan Arntson
Nicole Zoltack
Jessica Bell
Dawn Ius
PH Hrezo

This kind of thing must be stopped.

UPDATE: Okay, I'm posting the original photo now, because I'm leaving work early today. Enjoy!

Fun post...Ship Breaker is a great book, but I think The Help was the only one I recognized in the first pic.

Your blog doesn't like me Matt. :( I tried 4 times to leave a comment on your first article. It wouldn't let me.

I got none of the blurred books. But that's not fair because I buy ebooks and never get to look at a spine.

Great shelf. Too bad I didn't recognize any of them. Have a great weekend!

Not looking at the new picture yet, or the comments.
I got all of Andrew's books and Rotters.
I want to say I see Open Wounds, but I don't think I do, unless you have a different version than I do.
Okay, now I am looking at the picture.
Ship Breaker. Yay!
What excellent taste you have.
I don't see any of Amy's books--I'm thinking they are on your Kindle...
You have a wonderful weekend. Remember Maslow.

I got a few from the picture, but like some others, I'm e-book these days primarily...miss the look of the cool bookshelves once in awhile!

Cool. And hey, where do you keep the rest of your Tolkien?

I recognized The Marbury Lens and Across the Universe. Can't believe I missed Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children--I just read a physical copy of that one.

That was fun! I recognized half of them.

Fun idea. I only recognized the two Neil Gaiman books.

It's possible you're an enabler for my addiction. Just so you know.

Recognized none, have read some. 'The Road' - Holy Crap I keep trying to forget that book. It still gives me nightmares.

You did remind me that I have wanted to read 'The Marbury Lens' for forever, and keep getting distracted. Thanks.

Started 'Dust of 100 Dogs' - WOW!

I have a bookshelf in my bedroom, too. A friend came in and criticized it, saying "You don't want it to look like a library." Yes, I do. I'd love to sleep in a library, surrounded by all those comforting books. Can you imagine the dreams it would create!

Recognized The Road, the Help. The red one on the left end looks like my copy of Little Women, but I am assuming that's not it :)

I like this game!

Hi, Matthew. I've seen your yoda avatar all over the place and figured I'd pop by after Squid tagged us both to say hello.

Also, I heart vinyl.
