Announcements

Okay. So as the title suggests, I have a couple of things to announce:

First, my friend Courtney Barr, from the Southern Princess, has a new blog called All 4 Alabama. She is holding some auctions with some incredible prizes, trying to raise money for the victims of the recent tornado devastation in Tuscaloosa and other parts of Alabama. Now, I know money is tight. I personally have not been able to bid on any of the auctions, because I can't afford it right now, but there are other ways to offer your support.

For now, please just visit the blog, and become a follower. If you happen to notice an auction there with a prize that you can't afford not to bid on, well, then that would be your business.

Second, I've been invited to join the group blog Afteglow Book Reviews. I've always wanted to be part of a group blog, so it's kind of exciting for me. You won't see my bio or photo up in the reviewer sections yet, because my buddy Katrina Lantz just talked me into it last night, but I'll be reviewing something soon, and you people better go follow the blog now, so that you don't miss it.

Please?

Third, I really need to get more done when it comes to writing. My damn soul-sucking day job keeps trying to get in the way of things that really matter, like writing and blogging, so for the rest of this week and part of next I won't really be blogging. I may post some short, stupid stuff, but mainly I won't be able to read all the blogs I love, like yours.

Big Bird: OUT. Peace.

Congrats on your new blog. I'm a follower.

And I can totally relate to not enough time to write. Work and after school activities are totally taking all my writing time. Just remember that busy times are followed by slower ones. At least I hope so.

Hub and I drove home to New Orleans (from Virginia) along the route so devastated. My heart aches! I hope the auction is beyond successful.

I think we're all feeling time's pinch these days. Ohhh, so many mice....

Thanks for the heads up on the auction items! Very cool that you're part of a group blog~ you write great reviews, so I'm not surprised you were asked :)

Best of luck with whatever you're writing (are you tweaking Warrior Monks or working on something new?)!

I'm right with you on getting the writing done! I'm trying for at least two chapters a week.

I hear ya on getting some writing done. That's why all my blogs are short and stupid.

Yay on your new blog!
I used to blog 3-4 times a week, but it was interfering with my manuscript time so now I just post 1-2 times a week. You gotta do what works for you!

Congrats on the group blog. That sounds exciting!

I'm off to my soul-sucking job too. Grr.

I don't know if this will work for you, but I write most days at lunch....

I'll definitely check out your friend's auction! See you when you get back. Writing time is sparse and precious, take as much of it as you want. ;)

Awesome re Afterglow Reviews...I am over there too. :D

Writing TOTALLY comes first - I hope you get things straightened out! And congrats on joining Afterglow! :)

Your stuff may be short, but never stupid.

Looking forward to reading your reviews.

BTW, I'm petitioning the Almighty to create a 25th hour in the day so that all we writer/bloggers can get our fix. Don't know how flexible the Divine Time Keeper will be on this, but fingers crossed!

If you'd quit the crack, TIM, you'd get more done.

I just became a follower. Looking forward to your reviews!

I totally understand about life and other stuff creeping into writing time. I get two hours a day, so that time is mostly used for writing. I don't get to browse blogs nearly as much as I used to, and it's a major bummer. But I need to write, or I won't get published!! :)

Congrats on your new blog! And thanks for all the other announcements too.

Going to go follow...thanks!

I hear ya, my job just got REALLY busy so it's time to prioritize. Ie, writing. Blogging is taking a backseat...

So understand the soul sucking day job. I'm so sick of how mine keeps getting in the way of my hobbies. Hello, so not cool. Good luck with yours.

Jeffrey Beesler said...

Dude, take care of your writing and especially yourself. That day job can really ruin a writer if the writer does not take a few moments to write some awesome introspective stuff that a hundred centuries from now will be heavily revered. I can so see that scenario happening for you, by the way.

Congrats on the new blog position! I am enjoying working with a group blog a lot more than I realized I could. I can't wait to read the site!

I'm totally there with you not finding enough time to write. Take care of yourself first. We'll be here when you're ready.

I'm following the review blog since late last night. Good luck with it! It sounds like it should be fun.

And I so want to get back to writing myself! It seems like lately, I just can't make time for it with everything else I need to do so I feel your pain. Enjoy your blog vacation!

Well, even though you don't have the time to visit, we still appreciate ya...

Home time finds away to manage itself soon. It's always hectic when you can't accomplish everything you want to do.

Totally understand. Congrats on joining a team. I get so much more out of my blogging team sisters than I could ever give back. The support is amazing. :) Oh...I'll go follow.

Congrats Big Bird! (tee hee) I'll check it out.

I hear you on being ultra busy right now. I've been peeking in on some of my favorite blogs but have had to put posts on my own blog on hold until June.

Michael, I'll happily sign that petition!

All 4 Alabama looks like a great list of involved people! I'm a new follower. In these cases, I always wish I had money to bid, but there's always the donate button!

Yay for Afterglow Book Reviews! Welcome aboard, Matt! We're excited to read your reviews, and to have a man's voice. You might have to shout to be heard. :)
