Hi. My name is Matthew and I'm a blogaholic.I love bloggers. Nothing makes me feel better than introducing a friend to a blog I enjoy reading that they might not have found otherwise.
It's like a big fat crack rock.
Today I am on Step Four.
I'm making a searching and fearless moral inventory of myself.
- At first I thought I was such a great writer I would barely need to revise. I've since learned better.
- At first I thought I was bad ass enough that I could do it alone. I can't.
- At first I though literary agents were legendary creatures of might and hubris, inspiring fear and servitude. I've since learned that some of them are human.
- At first I thought that no one would read my blog, that no one would care. I've now learned that this community of writers is made up of the most amazing people I could ever imagine.
- Getting published is important enough to me spend years working toward it if necessary. I believe in myself and I will not give up.
Soon I may share about Step Five.

I'm with you and Jaydee, I thought I could do this alone - glad I woke up and realised the awesome that's out there :)
-two years ago I thought I'd meet just a couple of other bloggers with similar interests/topics. But their are literally hundreds (maybe thousands) and suddenly I am lost in the current that is bloggyland, just struggling to keep afloat.
Okay that's too dramatic, I am not struggling--it was just necessary to change my persepective and grab hold of a piece of dry land for myself!

I totally agree on all that! Get out of my head! Though agents and publishers still seem like magical, intimidating beings.
It's like you just read my mind...
Seriously, one of the best things about blogging, for me, is the validation that so many others feel the same way I do, and are experiencing the same trials.

Love these steps! I can't wait to see all of them. This is so true. It's great to know there are so many people out there with the same addiction.

Is it that I'm Australian that I'm not familiar with "It's like a big fat crack rock." Because in my neck of the woods 'big fat crack' would be referring to a really wide arse hole .... hmmm ... LOL
That's a wonderful list, and it hits home with me.
I have a sense that the love between you and blogers is mutual :)
Step four is totally awesome. And never give up on something you so clearly are passionate about.
