Prezi.com

Today will be a very short post. I just want to turn you all on to something my kids have been obsessed with lately. Have you ever had to make a presentation for work or school? Have you felt limited or even bored by Microsoft's PowerPoint or Apple's Keynote?

If you have, check out Prezi.com's flash-based presentation software. It's, in a word, impressive:

My kids use it for school all the time. They even make presentations for fun in their free time. Anything that inspires kids to think, read, and research is pretty cool as far as I'm concerned. Check it out!

Hey, thanks for this. I'm going to let my grandkids know about this. They're just at that age and they love all things computer.

Prezi is a commonly used tool at my college, too. It's a great way to snure you're using ethos, pathos, and logos; whereas PP and Keynote do not hold you accountable for those techniques.

My 12 yo has been gushing about this since he learned about it at school. He even showed me all the cool things it can do. It does look great. :D

I had to use Prezi for a presentation when I was in high school. I do enjoy how you can use a zoom feature to make different levels of a presentation.

It is very fun to use. I use it teaching sometimes. I such a linear thinker though it takes me FOREVER to make one. Very cool your kids are using it! It allows for a lot of creativity!

thankfully I have never had to make any sort of a presentation. I have absolutely no clue how to use ms powerpoint and have still not mastered the art of critting properly (you know, with those little boxes that pop up with the critter's comments). But I can write and play skyrim and my purple pen works pretty good so what more do I need?

Funny that you mention this since I just toured their offices here. It was invented here in Budapest and is still run out of these offices. My kids use it at their school here, too, of course!
