The Integral Trees, by Larry Niven

To complete my series of gigantic covers this week, I give you The Integral Trees, by Larry Niven. I've never actually read this book, but I remember seeing it in the Queen Anne Library as a child, and the cover has fascinated me ever since.

Anyway, that is all. Have yourselves a wonderful weekend!

Interesting. Looks a bit Peter Pan-ish.

Agree with Josin. It does look like Peter Pan. Have a great weekend.

You need to pick it up sometime.

I thought it was a retelling of Peter Pan based on the cover. I've never heard of it.

You have to read it, Matt, and tell us if it's any good. :D

Yes, you're right. This makes me want to check out what the story's about. Good covers are SO important. Have a great weekend, Matt.

OMG, I loved The Integral Trees. Definitely not anything like Peter Pan. I don't remember the plot too well, but I remember loving the book. (Sorry. It's been 20+ years since I read it.) And now I need to go find myself a copy. Thanks, Matthew. =o)

I think I saw that vest at the discount store.

The title makes me think mathematics are part of the central plotline, because I'm probably reading it wrong.

Haha, I recognize this cover! Because I did the same thing at the library as a kid. We're like, "haven't read the book but I've always liked this cover" twins. Is that a type of twin?

Covers are everything! Especially to a kid. I didn't start reading until I was 13. Hate to think about all I missed.

Who did the artwork? It has a Michael Whelan feel to it.

I have that book, but I've never read it.

How fabulous! What a stunning picture! Never read the book but the cover looks tempting.

With a cover like that, I can see why it would catch anyone's attention. I wonder if it has to do with Earth conservation importance told in a fun yet dark way?
