Technical Writing

I won't really be blogging today because I have to author a few process documents and workflows for the client who is in town. BO-RING.

It's not that I hate it that much, I mean I AM a writer. But creative writing is so much more fun than technical writing. I mean yes, it can still be work, and it should be, really, if you're doing it right, but it still can be fun too. Technical writing? Not so much. At least not for me.

I might feel differently if I were being paid to be a technical writer, but no, this is just another responsibility they're heaping on top of my normal duties. That's business for ya ...

... sorry to depress you all. I don't intend to leave you feeling that way. I want you to have a great weekend, so I'll just leave you with this:

Good luck with that 'technical' writing. I'm actually working on a nonfiction piece for another freelance job. It's great, but yeah...not as satisfying as writing my fiction. I guess it's great practice, though. Writing for a mag or newspaper means you have to be REALLY concise. That practice will never hurt me. LOL

ROFL I loved it (especially the Disney part)!

Yeah, I much prefer writing fiction, too. Way more fun!

Good Find! Loved that, and can relate with two daughters. It's the dad life for me.

haha! I get what you mean though--it's how I kinda feel about my column for the newspaper. Reporting all of the facts is not as fun as making them up!

Awesome clip dude! And hey, I write technical copy. I love the challenge of taking boring details and info and making it sound exciting. Picture the audience, write for them.

Also, that video was so full of win! I'm sending it to my dad

Yeah, as much as I like to write, a still dread writing employee evaluations each year. Everyone says I do them well, but it is not a fun type of writing.

I write nonfiction articles to make some income and I hate it but it pays. I much prefer my fiction.

AWESOME video.

I don't do technical writing but writing university papers makes me feel the same way! Every word is a pain and I literally have to drag it out of myself!

Totally hilarious video. Sent to my brother. I've been in edit mode. I don't love it but it's a relief to get it done. :)

Thanks for that video. "Manscape" Haha!

I know what you mean about the technical writing. I've had to do a little bit about that for my job. And it's medically related. Nothing worse than technical writing about something you don't even understand!!

It just makes writing for ourselves that much more rewarding.

yeah ... totally laughing. I've gotta put this one on my Facebok page. Thanks. Matthew.

Why do you hate democrats so much? Let's a find a balance first, and then start blaming each other. And don't say war is the answer.
Please allow me to be spontaneous and post random stuff and quotes. I mean no harm.
I just read another article about this topic, and yours seems to be a lot more to the point. However, their article appears on #1 spot, and your is on the bottom. Why?
I'm a little slow, please don't remove my comments or I will get upset.

Any of you seen a modem carrier around here?
