The title of this post has nothing to do with writing, thank god. I'm just disappointed by a terrible weekend of NFL football. Only one of the four teams I was pulling for actually won their game. And it's especially sad that I was only pulling for the New York Jets because I hate the Patriots.
Oh well, moving on before I make any enemies. I've got some great things coming up this week. I'm going to be interviewing Bryan Russell, who is the closest thing I have to a mentor in my so called writing career, and he is going to be sharing and analyzing his query as well this week.
Then, at some point, as soon as I can respond to her questions, I will be interviewed by JM Leotti, over at her blog, Restless Spirit. I intend to interview and promote her as well, over here, but I don't think I'm going to be able to fit that post in this week.
Anyway, I'm off to do some writing before I have to get to work. Scroll down for an awesome drawing of me by Vic if you haven't already seen the post from this weekend.
P.S. I notice I've gained several new followers over the weekend. Welcome! I will try to make it to all of your blogs as soon as I can.
Looking forward to all your goodness! :o)
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear your teams didn't win, but at least it wasn't writing-related bad news.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you have a great week coming up! Looking forward to it!
Oddly enough, I think hubbers was HAPPY with the football turn out this weekend, so maybe it's good you weren't watching in the same room...it might've gotten a little rowdy.
ReplyDeleteLOVE Vic's pic of you! She's so talented!!
I'm not even going to go into my disappointment about the Ravens. (It hurts too much).
ReplyDeleteBut then, I was actually rooting for the Patriots last night, because there is no team I detest more than the Steelers...and the Pats own the Steelers.
So, needless to say, my entire football weekend was shite. I can sympathize.
My team - the Patriots - didn't win. But the Jets played an excellent game! :) So I heard, because I didn't watch it.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great week. Sorry but I don't watch football. Happy writing. I'm hoping to get a little done before 6 13 years old come over to help me put tickets in order for our Winter Carnival. Hopefully I'll get some tips on middle grade dialogue.
ReplyDeleteBoo to the Patriots whoever they are! :-)
ReplyDeleteLots of yummy things to look forward to here in your blog!! Yay!!
Keep on writing!! Take care
x
Wow, I haven't watched football in years. My mom was obsessed with it. She watches several sport games at once (and not just fb), which always drove me nuts. My husband and father aren't into sports, though they're way more active than Mom.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your writing this week!
oh! did the bears win? my hubby is obsessive about them...
ReplyDeleteI was only pulling for the New York Jets because I hate the Patriots.
ReplyDeleteThem's fighting words.
thanks for the follow/comment.
ReplyDeleteill be sure to follow and check out your blog, you got some cool stuff here.
Lots of great stuff to look forward to. Thanks for the heads-up!!
ReplyDeleteMatt! Such blasphemy! You hate the Patriots?? I am a major fan, but apparently they didn't want it that badly, huh?? What was up with Brady? That was a horrible game. Win or lose, I like to see a game. Blah...but at least this eases up my anxiety for Super Bowl weekend. lol
ReplyDeleteWow! Watching football has really changed you, Matt. Love your new photo.
ReplyDeleteFootball junkies here too...though my husband was happy with the weekend.
ReplyDeleteTry being a Raiders fan.
ReplyDeleteI hate the Pats too. Never had a problem with them until they beat my Eagles. *sigh* Still waiting for that first ring.
ReplyDeleteGO Bears!! Sorry, my wife's from Chicago. :)
ReplyDeleteGo Bears!
ReplyDeleteNext week's game is going to be crazy in this house with Packers vs Bears. Not to mention my family will be moving to Packerland sometime this year. We will definitely be in the minority with our blue and orange wear there.
yay, writing! Yay!!!
ReplyDeleteare you talking about the NFL again? mer mer mer... ;p <3
Speaking as the 2010 Fantasy Football CHAMPION for my league, I'm not even interested at this point because I have nobody left to root for. I suppose I'm rooting for the Jets by default, but I do miss the excitment and anxiety football brought weekly until the playoffs began.
ReplyDeleteFootball season irked me ever since the Giants went out of the running. My dad's from Brooklyn so I have to represent! :)
ReplyDeleteI love the drawing of you, Matthew! I wouldn't have been able to imagine you in a suit before!
ReplyDeletei wasnt that disapointed at all.
ReplyDeletelooking forward to it
ReplyDeleteI was rooting for one team that won, but it wasn't the Jets. (Sorry, too cocky, especially their coach.) Most of the others I didn't really care either way. Sad it will all end soon...
ReplyDelete*pouty face to football*
ReplyDeleteAnd AHHHHH I love that picture!!!
Sorry the Steelers won. My hubs, however, is not sorry at all.
ReplyDeleteI love the drawing of you! It's great!
Oh, Matthew, I'm a die hard Eagles fan and our last game ended with gut wrenching disappointment...a freaking interception.
ReplyDeleteAhhhh, I hate even typing it out.
I gave up on this football season when being a Vikings fan felt a little more like being a Lions fan. I've been looking forward to catchers and pitchers reporting since Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteSorry you had a bad football weekend.
ReplyDeleteI hope you got some great writing in this morning. Looking forward to the great things you have in store on your blog this week!
Sorry about the NFL disappointing you. I don't watch so I can't really say anything about it.
ReplyDeleteThis week sounds like it's going to be a good one at your blog! I'm excited!
Sorry about the foot ball. My step dad stopped watching when the Giants were out, so...
ReplyDeleteOkay, your interview is up! Thanks so much, it was great fun! :-D
