Some of you have maybe heard of
Bloom's Day, which celebrates James Joyce. Well, I've ready Ulysses, twice, and I still don't get it. Another author, who I do get, and love, is Judy Blume. So, some writers
decided she needed a day too. I couldn't agree more.
Happy Blumesday!
I love Judy Blume! Happy Blumesday!
ReplyDeleteSure, why not?
ReplyDeleteLOL! I had no idea about this. Very cool.
ReplyDeleteA great celebration for a great author.
ReplyDeleteI love this idea!
ReplyDeleteAwesome. I saw her a while ago on Tavis Smiley's talk show, and she's everything you'd think - smart, witty, and warm.
ReplyDeleteJudy Blume = much better than James Joyce!
ReplyDeleteI never read Ulysses, but I did have to read A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man -- also twice -- in college. And UGH!
Great idea - she deserves it.
ReplyDeleteOh, wow! This is so cool! I love Judy!
ReplyDeleteIndeed! Happy Blumesday!
ReplyDeleteHappy Bloom & Blumes Days!! Yay! Take care

Too true! Now where did I set my cheese? It's time to celebrate. =)
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome!
ReplyDeleteI really, REALLY need to read Ulysses.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I've ever seen a picture of Judy Blume before.
ReplyDeleteHer books are a delight.
ReplyDeleteAs to Ulysses, I've waded through it and come out dazed.
Heat! Hear! Happy Blumesday, Matt :-)
ReplyDeleteJust Blume is awesome!
ReplyDeleteA pioneer in MG for girls.
Kudos to anyone who reads ULYSSES twice!
ReplyDeleteGood call! I LOVE Judy Blume's books for kids.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely idea! Judy Blume is a gem. She has tackled to picks that still haven't been dealt with as honestly and well. LOVE her!
ReplyDeleteAnd Ulysses. Twice. Wow. Hat's off. There isn't enough ale in Dublin to make me do that to myself!
Excellent idea. My one constant in life, growing up :-)
ReplyDeleteHappy Blume's Day!! Judy Blume is one of my favorite authors. I loved her books when I was a kid and teenager, and I still love re-reading them. I really enjoy her adult novels, too. She's an amazing writer!
ReplyDeleteHappy reading and writing! from Laura Marcella @ Wavy Lines
And Happy Blumes day to you, as well!
ReplyDeleteHappy Blumes Day to you both.
ReplyDeleteAWESOME!!! I heart that lady and her books!
ReplyDeleteCouldn't agree more! I grew up on her and hope my daughter will too :)
ReplyDeleteNot an author I've read, but if she has her own day maybe I should crack a book, eh? ;)
ReplyDeleteI adore her!
ReplyDeleteShe was about an hour away and I would have loved to see her for a signing, but we were out of town. Darn it.
