Nothing
I'm not going to post today, because I want to write about a book I read recently, that I loved, but a Tuesday won't give it the attention it deserves, so I'm saving it until tomorrow.
Matt, you are like a literary Superman. You fight for truth, justice, and the literary way, with the way you want to do justice to the books you've read. Faster than speed reading, more powerful than a well-placed metaphor, able to leap tall chapter breaks in a single bound!
AHHHHH, the Violent Femmes!! Yes, I love this song--and thank you so much for posting the original version and not the sellout versions on all the commercials coming out recently ;) That guitar riff never gets old. Oh, and the whisper section...awesome. Ninja Girl
No chance of blistering in the sun here. There's just clouds, and more clouds, and raindrops. "Welcome Spring." Harumph. Portland spits on your spring.
What's this about Tuesday being a dull day for a blog? Are some days better than others? Tuesday is having lunch with me, listening to the Vilent Femmes, and she's pissed you dissed her.
I'm dropping in from the AtoZ Challenge - bonjour!
ReplyDeleteI guess since the post didn't say anything, this comment won't either ;)
You may have a Seinfeld episode when all of your regulars are done commenting today Matthew.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a good plan.
ReplyDeletenice one x
ReplyDeleteYou had my attention.
ReplyDeleteNow I feel... disappointed. Hmph.
Am waving a big hello from London!
ReplyDelete:-)
Take care

It's good for me to stretch my musical limits. OK, that was a stretch. Interesting, but still a stretch.
ReplyDeleteI am loving 'Dust of 100 dogs' - almost done.
I remember dancing to this all all the hip clubs in the late 80s
ReplyDeleteName the film:
ReplyDelete'Some people say forgive and forget. Nah, I don't know. I say forget about forgiving and just accept. And ... get the hell out of town.'
You know I'll be back. And thanks for leaving us with a little something. Can't wait to hear which book you're talking about.

oooh...I can't wait to read about your thoughts on the book you read. I bet it had Japanese stuff in it.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the wonderful flash to the past.
ReplyDeleteYo.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I love the Violent Femmes. I remember the day that album came out. I still have my original vinyl copy bought that day. (yeah. i'm old.)
You're such a tease!
ReplyDeleteI remember first week of college, walking with new friends from party to party and singing this song they'd taught me.

Insert obligatory alternative rock comment here.
ReplyDeleteGreat song! One I frequently Spaz-Dance to. (Oh, nobody else spaz dances? That's weird.) ;)
ReplyDeleteHeh heh. I've long been a fan of this goofy song. Who the hell wouldn't want to strut?
ReplyDeleteI don't feel so bad arriving late at your blog when you leave me a cool blast from the past :-)
ReplyDelete(On a side note, sorry I so rarely comment on the 'right' day. I do my best but, meh, life gets in the way).
