I'm afraid we box in books to how they "should" be and when they're not, it's a glaring sore thumb. Amazingly, the readers don't seem to notice - all they connect to is the story. If it grabs them, by whatever magical hocus-pocus occurs, then they're good. Otherwise, meh, and they move on without a second look. But we writers live and breathe it, and are hardly objective in this very, very subjective business.

Looking forward to the guest post!Susan Kaye Quinnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07348197999397141067noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5345890055658252124.post-9067594771177795632010-06-24T14:47:22.852-04:002010-06-24T14:47:22.852-04:00it's so interesting to read your POV on this b...it's so interesting to read your POV on this book. i've been eyeing it for awhile -- the buzz and hype is so immense it's hard to avoid. but i was never sure if it was my 'kind of thing'.

thanks for the heads up. a lot to ponder.

and YAY tomorrow! hehe :DTaherehhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03111022596822176769noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5345890055658252124.post-71034029857462764872010-06-24T13:32:27.596-04:002010-06-24T13:32:27.596-04:00I hear you on the trilogy.
