I believe zombie stories strike at something primal in all of us - survival.<br /><br />A zombie apocalypse throws out all convention and frees of us societial laws and rules. You get to take whatever you want from a convenience store, load up on guns and ammo, and kill at will.<br /><br />They're just zombies, after all, and killing them is not like killing a person. So you're free from guilt.
