Third Daughter, by Susan K. Quinn, Cover Reveal and Giveaway

First off, let's be sure to give props where props are due. This lovely cover was designed by Steven Novak, who you can find at his website, or on his blog.

Now, Susan and I are critique partners, so I read this manuscript not too long ago, and loved it. But the cover was a surprise to me, and I'm glad to see it turned out so well!

Now I'll let Susan tell you about the giveaway:

Win an e-ARC of Third Daughter (The Dharian Affairs#1) by Susan Kaye Quinn

RELEASES 12.13.13
Cover by the amazing Steven Novak
The Third Daughter of the Queen wants her birthday to arrive so she'll be free to marry for love, but rumors of a new flying weapon may force her to accept a barbarian prince's proposal for a peace-brokering marriage. Desperate to marry the charming courtesan she loves, Aniri agrees to the prince's proposal as a subterfuge in order to spy on him, find the weapon, and hopefully avoid both war and an arranged marriage to a man she does not love.
Third Daughter is the first book in The Dharian Affairs Trilogy (Third Daughter, Second Daughter, First Daughter). This steampunk-goes-to-Bollywood (Bollypunk!) romance takes place in an east-indian-flavored alternate world filled with skyships, saber duels, and lots of royal intrigue. And, of course, kissing.

I'm so excited to finally have Third Daughter out in the wild! On the release date this Friday, I'll have a small (but hopefully fun!) launch party with Third-Daughter-themed prizes. I hope you will love reading the story as much as I loved writing it. If you can't wait to read it, I'm giving away TEN e-ARCs (Advanced Reader Copies)! The ARCs will go out on Tuesday, so you will get it before it releases!

If you would like to help out with the release, see the options below (in the Rafflecopter) to sign up to host it on your blog. And thank you!

First, I adore that cover. The color, the movement, the style, the aged look, and how the more you look at it, the more you see.

Also, at first glance, I thought that was you with the goggles. :-)

So yeah, congratulations, Susan, on what sounds like a most excellent book!

Man. I so absolutely love that cover. I particularly love the warm colors

It is a beautiful cover to be sure. It's fun not seeing a white person on Susan's book (up to this point it's been pretty much a whitewash).

That's one rocking cover! I do want to read this book.

Thanks everyone!

Ouch, Michael! Have you not seen my covers for The Scribe (Mindjack Origins) and Ecstasy (Debt Collector 3)?

p.s. I have sympathy for any author trying to find cover art for characters-of-color. It's not easy to find ones that will make a good cover. Open call to photographers of the world: please, please, please take more photos of people of color and put them up on stock art sites! Not everyone can afford original art or their own private photo shoots to get a cover that represents their characters!

And I have two more books in this series I'm going to need covers for... :)

Congrats to Susan. I like the storyline.

Missed this announcement, but caught it on Denise Covey's sidebar.
